Etiquette and Dress Code
Dress Code
We want to ensure that you to feel comfortable while you are playing golf, exercising, or having a drink at the bar. That is why we're pretty relaxed here at Point Walter Golf Club.
Please note that due to our health and safety regulations and the comfort of all guest, we have Etiquette and Dress Code standards that you're required to adhere to.
Golf Course
- Collared shirts
- Neat casual pants or shorts are preferable, or jeans are acceptable
- Golf or sports shoes
Local Rules
Out of bounds:
- The fence around the perimeter of the course is out of bounds
- Curator’s Compound is out of bounds
Ball must be lifted and dropped no nearer the hole with no penalty when:
- lying with one club length of a tree or shrub under two club lengths in height
- ball is embedded
- on a green or tee other than the one being played
- in a wheel mark
- ball is in ground under repair (GUR)
- within two club lengths of any structure within the course
- on any path
Wear shirts/tops at all times
Etiquette
- Each player must carry an individual bag of clubs
- All divots must be replaced and all holes made in bunkers must be smoothed
- Don’t hold up play unduly
- Don’t play until those in front are out of range
- If there is a clear hole in front, please allow those following to pass
- In taking practice swings, players should avoid causing damage to the course
- If searching for a ball, signal following players through. Don’t start again until they are out of range.
- Replace flag stick in hole
- Leave putting green immediately after putting is concluded
- Practice swings on tees prohibited
- Golf buggies must not be taken on greens or tees
